Beginners

Soo Whan completed a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) at Sydney University in 2013. Since then, he has completed two Master degrees at Curtin majoring in Sports physiotherapy (2020) and Musculoskeletal physiotherapy (2021). Soo Whan has published a research paper on shoulder pain and aspires to provide evidence-based treatments. He has worked beside experienced manual therapists and has adopted a high level of skill in manual therapy and precise exercise prescription in managing a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Soo Whan has a particular interest in treating and managing chronic conditions, particularly of the shoulder and lower back. He understands the complexities of pain and enjoys working together with patients to work out the main underlying driver for their condition to achieve the best results for them.

Soo Whan is also experienced in sports physiotherapy, being involved in WAFL at West Perth football club and being the head physiotherapist for the Thailand International Tchoukball team. He understands the importance of physiotherapy for injury prevention and exercises to enhance performance.

He has spent many years playing various sports, particularly basketball and martial arts and has had his own fair share of injuries over the years. Currently, he loves running marathons, training at the gym and playing golf when the sun’s out.
